Gloria is a wonderful teacher. She structures each history class around topics I'm interested in and presents them in a very well thought out manner. Though I'm not a native Spanish speaker (English is my native language) and only a beginner, Gloria conducts each lesson in Spanish and then translates easily into English so I'm not only able to learn about the history of Central America from a native speaker but also improve my Spanish skills. In addition, she brings a great attitude and is truly fun to learn with. I would highly recommend Gloria to anyone considering a teacher.

I currently take lessons with Gloria for the past two years now and I love it! She has given me so much more depth into the Spanish language. Now, I understand the Spanish subtleties in conversations, media, and writings. My main interest in learning Spanish is to communicate in a medical context as I am a healthcare worker. I knew that my Spanish was robotic before, but after many lessons with Gloria, my Spanish is more fluid and I am constantly thinking of the subjunctive! Gloria also makes lessons interesting with video clips, listening exercises, recipes/ book recommendations.

Gloria has been my Spanish tutor for at least 4 years. I basically use the session for Spanish conversation. Gloria is an excellent tutor and a very good listener. She is very knowledgeable and has a genuine interest in a broad range of things so we hardly ever run out of topics to discuss during class. I always find myself coming out of the class more refreshed/relaxed even after a very tiring day. Highly recommended!

I’ve had three classes with Gloria so far. I was worried that an hour class one-on-one would feel too long, but the class goes by very quickly. She provides written resources and does a nice balance of speaking Spanish and using English after when I need her to explain in English. I feel very comfortable trying to speak in Spanish with her, and I highly recommend her.

The thing I like the most about Gloria is that she is really good at answering those random grammar/pronunciation/etc. questions that sometimes come up during a lesson without getting off track. She is also very friendly and gives very clear explanations of language concepts with easy to understand examples. I will continue to schedule lessons with her.

Gloria is a smart and experienced teacher. Patient and with the ability to Intuit where her students are in their Spanish and help them take the next step. She listens and makes it easy to at least say what you do know how to say without feeling self-conscious. For all the above reasons and more, Gloria is a great choice to help anyone learn spanish
