Throughout the years, I've donned various hats—as an archaeologist unearthing ancient treasures, a museum educator bringing history to life, and a guest lecturer sharing insights with eager minds. However, it's my passion for teaching Greek that truly ignites my spirit. With a Bachelor's degree in History and Archaeology from a prestigious Greek University, supplemented by a Master of Science from a renowned Dutch University, my academic journey has been one of exploration and discovery. I am well trained in online education, experienced, oriented and updated with the latest educational methods. πριν από 6 ημέρες Aliki has to be one of the most patient, supportive, energized, and caring tutors a student could ask for. She always takes the time for her students. Not only this, but she makes her tutoring lessons incredibly engaging and fun. I feel that Aliki is really great at making sure that I am comfortable with the rate that I'm learning at. She is more than willing to change the pace that a student learns at in order to fit their learning and life styles. I always feel that I've made a huge step forward in studies by the end of every lesson. For those interested in learning Greek, I have to recommend lessons with Aliki.

I've been doing conversational Greek lessons with Aliki for a few weeks now and I'm truly enjoying this experience. Aliki is attentive and very well organized (she always makes vocabulary notes and reminds about things to do). I love how she comes up with very interesting topics to discuss for each lesson (I mean, she gets me and the things I like!). She has an exceptional open-minded and bright personality and is very pleasant to interact with. I really recommend Aliki to anyone who's looking to practice or improve their Greek :)

Aliki helps me with my conversational skills in modern greek. I have a book about parental advice in greek, that I wanted to cover and practice on. She quickly understood what I want to learn, got the same book and comes up with new ideas how I can improve my speaking skills. She is such a kind and enthusiastic person and a very patient teacher. I truly appreciate the work she puts in and can recommend her to anyone. I am even looking forward for my son having some greek lessons with her, when he's a little bit older.

Someday I will write a 5,000+ word poem, in ancient Greek hexameters, about how fantastic Aliki is as a teacher and how much I enjoy working with her. I'm not there yet, but I know that if I continue my studies with her, I will get there. She is an excellent and intuitive teacher, kind and enthusiastic, and also happens to speak perfect English -- which is incredibly helpful at bridging some of the finer points of communicating in Greek. I began my studies with her intending only to review the phonology of Ancient Greek -- but was so enthused that I continued thereafter with a ground-up study of the language as it is written and spoken today. (I also came to the realization along the way that it is methodologically impossible to truly understand the rhythms and intonation of archaic Greek without understanding the modern articulation of the language, despite what Erasmian scholars will tell you.) Anyway, this all just a provisional review, in lieu of my forthcoming pseudo-Homeric Hymn to Aliki, to make sure no on else hesitates to hire her as their Greek teacher. Do it now.

Aliki is 10/10 in all aspects. She is kind, extremely patient and is always making herself available to help you learn. She is very professional and adjusts herself to your speed, week by week. I can see myself as her client for a long time to come. If you're in doubt, take an initial class to see for yourself. You'll see what I mean. And, I can guarantee that the energy she brings to that first class, she keeps it on and on.

Absolutely loving lessons with Aliki! My old tutor stopped teaching lessons so I had to find a new tutor. After my first trial lesson with Aliki I knew she’d be the perfect teacher for me. She’s managed to quickly gauge my level and weaknesses and tailor lessons perfectly to suit my learning style. Even after long days of work when I’m knackered, she keep me engaged and excited to learn. 10/10 🥳🇬🇷

Greek for beginners

I have worked about 8 years with international citizens, most of them beginners. The most important part in my courses is that the material used in our lesson will be chosen and applied only to you! Our lesson is designed only for you and we are not going to follow a book, but only your needs. As i have my own teaching technique which is based on learning during the class and building up your confidence I can guarantee your results.

Conversational Greek

Conversational Greek is the easiest and most fun part of the language. Yet it has to be done correctly and with an efficient way. I always use practical examples and try to speak mostly Greek during the lesson, if possible. My goal for each course is to teach you more words and build up your confidence. In order to succeed this, i use my own teaching technique with which I can guarantee your results.

Intensive Greek

I always have a conversation with the student in order to understand his needs and together make the plan of the course.Grammar and vocabulary is taught through engaging texts and my main focus is listening and speaking, which you can practise through everyday topics and topics of interest.You will quickly progress to the desired level of Greek language through the carefully selected books and materials, which include real-life texts and situations that adult students are likely to encounter in their everyday life.Our lessons will include a unique combination of bilingual materials to speed up the learning process. Bilingualism aims at making it easier for you to acquire the Greek language using all the necessary structures and expressions that you are able to understand through the language of reference, especially at the beginning of the course. In other words you will focus on what matters and not on things that distract you from your real goal.

Greek for Children

Depending on your needs, I mostly focus on the learning process, so that each lesson is a happy experience for the child. Images, songs, painting and discussion will create a wonderful atmosphere in which the child feels protected, secure and can open up to new ideas and words. It is important to build a good relationship with respect and understanding and hence the child is willing to learn.

Business Greek

I always have a conversation with the student in order to understand his/her needs and make the plan of the course together in order to achieve your goals. I understand that you might have limited time for homework so our main priority will be to cover as many subjects during the courses.

Greek Literature

Together we can learn ancient mythology, ancient and modern Greek literature, prototype ancient Greek text or translated.
